Red Bag Benefits – Terms & Conditions

Effective 7 September 2026. These terms replace the "Tiered Loyalty Rewards Program" terms.

1. The programme

Red Bag Benefits is Maltashopper's VIP programme for customers who shop with us most. Membership is automatic: there is no sign-up, form or fee. The programme is operated by Maltashopper Limited (C53942), 162 Cannon Road, Santa Venera SVR 5534, Malta.

2. Eligibility

  • You become a VIP when your spend with Maltashopper reaches €2,500 over the past 365 days (a rolling period, not a calendar year).
  • All purchases from Maltashopper count towards this total: orders on maltashopper.com and purchases made in person at our Mqabba warehouse, as long as they are linked to the same customer account (the same email address).
  • Spend is the total value of paid orders. Orders that are cancelled, or refunded in full or in part, are deducted from the total.

3. Activation, duration and renewal

  • VIP benefits activate on your next order once your rolling 365-day spend crosses €2,500.
  • VIP status lasts 365 days from the date you were upgraded.
  • It renews automatically for as long as your spend over the previous 365 days stays at €2,500 or more.
  • If your rolling spend drops below €2,500, you keep your benefits until the end of your current 365-day period. Your status then pauses until you qualify again.

4. Benefits

  • 5% off purchases on maltashopper.com, applied automatically at checkout.
  • 25% off home delivery charges in Malta on online orders with a goods value over €250, applied automatically at checkout. Free collection from Mqabba is already free, and international shipping is not included.
  • Special VIP prices on selected products, shown in the VIP & newsletter special prices collection.

Benefits are applied when you are logged in to the customer account that holds VIP status. They apply to products sold by Maltashopper on maltashopper.com; they do not apply to transport-only services for goods bought from other retailers, or to design, assembly or other service fees, unless stated otherwise.

5. Combining with other offers

  • The 25% delivery discount is the same benefit offered to newsletter and WhatsApp subscribers. It is applied once per order and is never doubled.
  • VIP benefits cannot be combined with other promotional offers or discount codes unless we explicitly say so. Where a product already carries a promotional or VIP special price, the discounts are not added together.
  • Vouchers earned under our voucher programmes can be used alongside VIP benefits where the voucher's own conditions allow.

6. Your account

  • VIP status is linked to your customer account and cannot be transferred, shared or gifted.
  • You can check your status and your progress towards €2,500 at any time: log in on maltashopper.com, open the account icon next to the search bar, and view your profile dashboard.

7. Cancellations, returns and abuse

  • Cancelled or refunded orders reduce your rolling spend. If that takes you below the threshold, your status pauses at the end of your current period as described above.
  • Maltashopper may withdraw benefits or end a customer's participation where we detect fraudulent or abusive behaviour, including orders placed and cancelled to gain benefits.

8. Changes to the programme

Maltashopper may change or end Red Bag Benefits at any time. Changes are published on this page and take effect when posted; the current version always applies. Benefits already applied to a paid order are not affected.
