Mondo Convenienza Collection and Delivery Services
Terms and Conditions for Maltashopper Mondo Convenienza Collection and Delivery Services
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern the services provided by Maltashopper for the collection, transportation and local delivery of goods from Mondo Convenienza to Malta. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.
Throughout these T&Cs, a "pickup" means all the goods we collect from Mondo Convenienza for you on one occasion. Several Mondo Convenienza order numbers issued for one purchase and collected together count as one pickup. Goods ordered and collected on separate occasions are separate pickups and are charged separately.
Services and Charges
Collection and Transport Service
Cost: The charge for the collection of your goods and their transport to the Maltashopper Mqabba warehouse is the greater of (a) 20% of the value of the order before any discounts or promotions, or (b) €140 per cubic metre of goods, subject to a minimum fee of €250 per pickup.
Volume: The volume is estimated by Maltashopper from the dimensions shown on the Mondo Convenienza order confirmation, allowing for packaging. Where a bulky item shows no dimensions, Maltashopper may ask you for them before issuing the quote. The quote issued on the basis of the order confirmation is final; goods are not re-measured at collection.
Collection in Malta: Collection from the Maltashopper Mqabba warehouse is free of charge.
Local Delivery Service: Local delivery to your home (ground floor only) is available as an additional service at €35 per cubic metre of goods (minimum one cubic metre). You need to organise any lifter service and council permits yourself. Please note that this fee covers one delivery only. If your order is shipped in multiple parts, you will need to pay for each separate delivery.
Storage fees: Once we notify you that your goods have arrived at our Mqabba warehouse, please collect them or select your delivery date by the deadline stated in that notification. After the deadline, a storage fee of 10% of the value of the goods still awaiting collection or delivery, per week, applies. There is no minimum fee, and it applies only while the awaiting goods together weigh more than 7 kg. The fee is added every week until the outstanding fees are paid and the goods are collected or a delivery date is selected; goods are released only once the fees are settled. If the accumulated storage fees reach the value of the awaiting goods, those goods are cancelled and their value is used to settle the fees, with no refund due. Storage arrangements agreed with us before the deadline pause the fees. The full policy is published at Storage fees for orders awaiting delivery or collection.

Liability, Refunds and Damages
Damages, Delays and Refunds: Maltashopper will do its utmost to avoid any damages during the transit of your goods. However, we strongly recommend that customers take out insurance to protect against any potential damages. Maltashopper liability is limited to its obligations under the CMR convention.
Maltashopper is not liable for any delays or disruptions caused by third-party shipping companies or any other circumstances beyond our control.
Maltashopper will not refund any part of its fees should any delay in service occur or should any item arrive damaged beyond its obligations under the CMR convention.
