A beautifully woven tale

The MÄVINN collection is the result of IKEA's dedication to helping communities in need. From decorations and textiles to baskets and beyond – each item is made with environmentally friendly and biodegradable materials like banana bark, jute, and natural fibres, thoughtfully chosen to care for both people and the planet.

Nordic-inspired style meets time-honoured craftsmanship

The MÄVINN collection combines age-old artisanal skills, organic materials, and eye-catching designs with vibrant colour pairings. Created with purpose and care, it’s designed to bring character and comfort into your home.

  • This isn’t just a collection – it’s a movement

IKEA believes that access to fair and meaningful work is one of the most powerful ways to overcome poverty. The collection was created to celebrate the skills of artisans in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Jordan, and Thailand.

  • One vase won’t change the world – but 10,000 just might

The MÄVINN bowls and vases are handcrafted, helping to create employment opportunities for Indigenous and tribal communities in Thailand.

  • Lovingly crafted by hand using natural materials

Created in partnership with the social enterprise Karupannya, this rug supports employment opportunities in a region of Bangladesh deeply impacted by climate change.
