Gift Ideas That Spark Creativity and Play

October 6, 2026

Finding a gift for a child that gets actually used can be tricky. Here are a few ideas for toys and creative sets that encourage imagination and playful fun, well suited to busy family homes across Malta and Gozo.

Toys that bring out smiles and imagination

A good toy does not need to be complicated. The LILLABO 20-piece basic train set gives little ones hours of track-building fun, while soft toys like the BLÅHAJ, SPARKA and KRAMIG make loyal companions for naps, car rides or quiet afternoons at home. These are gifts that get picked up again and again, not left forgotten in a corner.

For wrapping, keep it simple with bright paper and a cheerful ribbon. A soft toy tucked under one arm and a small train set in the other makes for a thoughtful combination that suits birthdays, christenings or just because.

Art sets to keep young hands busy

For the budding artist, a mix of drawing and painting supplies goes a long way. The MÅLA portable drawing case is handy for taking creativity on the go, paired with MÅLA brushes and felt-tip pens for colouring in any style. The SOLFÅGEL range adds acrylic paint, a canvas pad and coloured pencils, plus the SOLFÅGEL 3-piece easel and accessories set for a proper little studio setup at home.

Add the UNDERHÅLLA cards with letters to bring in some early reading and word games alongside the art. Together these make a gift that grows with a child's curiosity, whether they are scribbling their first shapes or working on more detailed drawings.

Little adventures in cooking and play dens

Some of the best childhood memories are made in makeshift dens and pretend kitchens. The CIRKUSTÄLT children's tent gives them a cosy space to call their own, perfect for storytelling, hiding away with a book or simply having somewhere small and theirs in a shared bedroom, which many Maltese homes know is not always easy to find.

Pair it with the SMÅBIT 2-piece knife set for imaginative cooking play, letting them chop pretend vegetables and host their own kitchen adventures. It is a simple combination that turns an ordinary afternoon into something memorable, without needing much space at all.
