One Pink Room, Endless Possibilities for Small Space Living

A single bedroom can be a sleeping space, a studio, a dressing room and a creative corner all at once. This one-room idea shows how clever layering of furniture and a confident colour scheme can make a compact room feel limitless.

A playful pink room with many jobs to do

Small flats and maisonettes across Malta often ask one bedroom to do several jobs at once, and this idea embraces that fully. Built around a soft, all-over pink palette, the room works as a bedroom, a workspace, a dressing area and even a spot for taking photographs, with furniture chosen to suit every mood of the day.

The STORÅ loft bed frame lifts sleeping up and off the floor, freeing up valuable square footage underneath for a desk or wardrobe rail. A BUSKBO armchair adds a comfortable reading corner, while the HOVET mirror and a LÅNESPELARE ring light with phone holder turn one corner into a proper spot for getting ready or filming content.

Making the most of every square metre underneath

In older Maltese townhouses and newer apartments alike, ceiling height is often the one thing a bedroom has in its favour, and raising the bed is an easy way to double up on floor space. Underneath a loft bed frame such as STORÅ, there is room for a proper desk, a reading nook or even a small walk-in dressing area, which matters in rooms that rarely have the luxury of extra square metres.

Keeping that reclaimed space organised is what makes the idea work long term. An IVAR storage box on wheels can be rolled in and out from under the bed or desk, holding clothes, craft supplies or files without eating into the room. Paired with the HOVET mirror and LÅNESPELARE ring light with phone holder, the space underneath becomes a proper second room in miniature.
