Turning Bathtime Into a Proper Ritual at Home
Space in a Maltese apartment or townhouse bathroom is often limited, but a calm soak does not need much room at all. A few considered touches can turn an ordinary bath into something you actually look forward to.
Small comforts that make a soak feel special
A long summer day in Malta can leave you wanting nothing more than to shut the bathroom door and unwind for twenty quiet minutes. Brew a cup of loose-leaf tea with IKEA's IDEALISK tea infuser, light a few candles, and let the steam do its work. Keep a BJÄLVEN bath robe hanging within reach so you can step straight out of the water and stay warm, even once the air conditioning kicks in.
It is often the small sensory details that make the difference between a quick wash and a proper pause. Soft flowers on the windowsill, a dab of soothing oil, or a plate of dried fruit by the tub all add to the mood. Finish with a STJÄRNBUSKE hair towel wrap so you are not dripping while you potter about afterwards, and a DINERA mug close by for that last sip of tea.

Keeping calm within easy reach
Once you have the mood set, it helps to have everything you need close to hand rather than scattered around the house. The STJÄRNBUSKE hair towel wrap and a DINERA mug can live on an open shelf near the bath, ready whenever you fancy a slow evening rather than a rushed shower before bed. In a compact Maltese bathroom, having these items grouped together saves you hunting through cupboards.
For longer soaks, fill IKEA's UNDERLÄTTA vacuum flask with something warm or chilled, depending on the season, so you are not tempted to get up halfway through. Pair it with the IDEALISK tea infuser for fresh tea on tap, and you have a little set-up that works just as well on a humid August evening as it does on a cooler winter night.
