In the catacombs, a necromancer summons a bone dragon… Welcome to the world of Res Arcana! Life, Death, Surge, Calm and Gold are the essences that power the art of magic in this dark world. Choose your wizard, gather essences, craft unique artifacts and use them to summon dragons, conquer places of power and achieve victory! In Res Arcana, players take on the role of powerful wizards who fight against their rivals for supreme power. Will you be able to use your resources optimally in order to reclaim monuments and places of power before your rivals? Res Arcana is a management card game for experienced players by Thomas Lehmann, the famous and acclaimed author of board games. The depth and gameplay mechanics have allowed this title to win the coveted As D'Or award in 2020 at the Cannes Game Festival. Perlae Imperii is the second expansion of Res Arcana. On a wild coast, an abyssal wizard prepares to dive into a magical seabed in search of a pearl of power. Meanwhile, a domadraghi travels to the Isle of Blood to track down an ancient dragon. The expansion adds the new Pearl type to the essences and extends the game to 13 victory points. New wizards, magical items, monuments, places of power and artifacts further enrich the game. Perlae Imperii is playable with the base box alone or in combination with Lux et Tenebrae, the first expansion of Res Arcana. It is not a complete game. A copy of Res Arcana is required to play.
