Marvel Champions: The Card Game is a cooperative card game for one to four players. Each player plays the role of a Marvel hero, playing the game as that character and his alter ego. Over the course of the match, players will have to work together to defeat a (game-controlled) criminal who attempts to carry out his evil plots. Very strong and appreciated brand. High replay value. This basic set, unlike others, already allows you to play with 4 players. 3 Scenarios and 5 Heroes included. Marvel Champions: The Card Game takes place over a series of rounds. Each round consists of a Player Phase and a Criminal Phase. During the Player Phase, players take their turns in order of play. During his turn, a player can play cards from his hand, attack enemies, intervene against the criminal's plots, and use the ally, support, and upgrade cards he has in play. After all players have taken a turn, the Players Phase ends and the game continues with the Criminal Phase. At the start of the Criminal Phase, threats are placed on the main storyline. Then the criminal activates 1 time per player and, depending on the situation, either attacks the player or pushes his plot further. Then the game reveals the cards from the encounter deck, adding wingmen, pitfalls, secondary plots, and additions to expand the villain's forces and assault the heroes. The game continues like this until the players all win together as a team or until the criminal wins. Living Card Game: Players can customize and expand the game by purchasing expansions that will be released regularly. Each Hero Expansion Pack features 1 new Hero Starter Deck that can be played right out of the box, but also provides additional customization options for player decks. New villains and new adventures will be introduced in the self-contained scenario packs and deluxe stories. Unlike collectible card games, all LCG expansions offer fixed, non-random content.
