Port Royal Bay is buzzing with activity and everyone is hoping for the chance of a lifetime. But those who risk too much could be forced to set sail empty-handed. Secure the favor of governors and admirals, hire pirates and welcome passengers on board. Choose whether to be reliable business partners or fierce competitors. Follow the call of the expeditions and accept new tasks to increase your influence or to engage in a five-chapter long adventure story. Port Royal is essentially a card game. All cards are shuffled to form a single deck. In turns, players will turn over one or more cards. Each turn is made up of two phases. PHASE 1 The active player continues to turn over the cards in the deck until he decides to stop or is forced to, because he turns over a ship card of the same color as one already turned over. PHASE 2 Based on the number of ships of different colors, the player can take from 1 to 3 cards from those previously turned over. If he discards ships, he takes coins, if he takes profession cards he must pay coins. Then, the other players can also take a card with the same rules, but must give a coin to the player whose turn it is. Ships provide coins, professions provide influence points needed to win and particular skills. Expeditions also provide coins and points, but they come at a cost, in profession cards. The first player with 12 influence points wins.
