Product description

Gather your friends for a last-ditch stand in Arkham Horror: Final Hour, a 1- to 4-player collaborative board game. An endless wave of monsters is sweeping the Miskatonic University campus and you must hold it back as you desperately search for the ritual components needed to put an end to this madness. In 60 minutes or less, cooperation and the outcome of the investigation will determine your fate. The odds of success are not yours: if you fail, this will truly be the last hour for Arkham… and for the whole world. Arkham Horror: Final Hour takes place over 8 rounds, in which investigators must reverse the ritual of summoning and saving the campus (and the whole world) from the Great Ancient and his followers. The first half of each round is the Action Phase, in which investigators move between locations, attack monsters, and investigate for clues. Monsters also act during this phase. The second half of each round is the Ancient One Phase, in which the Ancient One unleashes terrible effects and more monsters are spawned on the board. The game is lost if the time runs out before the mission is completed, if an investigator loses all of his Health or if the ritual site is invaded by monsters. Faster games than other Lovecraft themed games. Different game mechanics thanks to the dumb planning phase that takes place through the priority cards.
