IKI is a strategy game set in Japan, in the Edo period (1603-1868), Tokyo in that era. You will enter the liveliest market in the Nihonbashi district with shops (Nagaya) selling rice, tobacco, pipes and fish. In the shops you will find artisans and merchants specialized in various activities related to everyday life: manufacturers of lanterns, fans and tatami mats, sellers of sushi and tempura, geishas and kabuki actors… Employ them: they will increase their experience, they will age and they will then retire and provide you with cash over the seasons. And then there are the fires and the population may have food shortages. Live for a whole year in Edo, aiming to have the most IKI, which is the ideal way to lead a civic life.
