CASA Cares
At CASA, we think it's important to be aware and mindful of our planet. Taking care of our planet starts with ourselves and that's why we try to take increasingly sustainable steps.
With elegant and welcoming items at an affordable price without putting a price on our planet: we would like to focus more and more on this point. Under 'CASA Cares', we work together with our partners, employees and customers to create a more beautiful world.
100% Organic Cotton Textiles
Discover our BIO SOFT bathroom textile and ORGANIC table textiles. Both of these collections are certified with the GOTS label. The "Global Organic Textile Standard" is an international standard that includes the criteria for processing organic fibres in an ecological and socially responsible way. When you see this label, it is guaranteed that the product is free of chemicals and has been produced under good social working conditions.
100% Recycled Glass
At CASA we try to emphasise sustainability. We are therefore delighted to present the cooperation with a partner who uses sustainable production methods. You will find, for example, San Miguel glass which is 100% recycled!
Handmade Vegetable Soaps
The new fair trade Soap & Scent collection of handmade soaps is being produced on a small scale in Thailand. The government-certified company offers a guaranteed salary and a safe workplace for its workers.
Ecological Furniture
“Deforestation is an immense problem worldwide, but at the same time wood is a renewable raw material that is more environmentally friendly than most alternatives, provided that wood extraction and furniture production are done in a responsible and sustainable manner,” says Britt Van Rompaey, purchaser at CASA. “And that is precisely what the FSC label offers consumers. CASA attaches great importance to environmental protection and, as a furniture retailer, we consciously opt for FSC wood.”
Apero Eco Range
CASA is committed to selling less single-use plastic. For example, we replace plastic plates with eco-friendly ones made from natural materials. Since the emergence of plastic, our world has literally turned into a throwaway society. Most people don't think twice before throwing plastic packaging and single-use plastic solutions into the rubbish bin. Fortunately, that has been changing more and more lately.
We are becoming more aware of the waste we produce and are increasingly trying to avoid it. And CASA is happy to contribute to this.
Recycled PET Bottles
PET bottles obtained from waste are crushed, melted and transformed into polyester. With these 100% recycled threads we can produce textiles. This process saves oil, water, energy and also the CO² emissions are lower than those of the conventional production of PET and cotton threads.
